The first century in the IPL was scored by Brendon McCullum of the Kolkata Knight Riders
against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on 18 April 2008 at Kolkata.
The fastest century in terms of strike rate was scored by Yusuf Pathan, who scored 100
runs off 37 balls at a strike rate of 270.27 while playing for the Rajasthan Royals
against the Mumbai Indians in the 2010 season.
Adam Gilchrist, David Warner and Vijay are the only batsmen to score two centuries.
